Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo-book review

Leven Thumps and The Gateway to Foo is the first in a five part series. This book had some hilarous lines in it, but the plot line was actually pretty serious. It starts out with with a prolouge where an old man named Antsel is in a burning town, planting a seed and telling a small creature named Clover to leave him. It then skips ahead in time to a boy named Leven Thumps who lives in the same town that was burning in the prolouge. He lives with his cruel aunt, and her even crueler husband, who makes Leven sleep on the porch. The other main character in this book is a girl named Winter who finds out that she has the power to freeze things and is not sure why. This book was a great balance between reality and an imginary world. I give this book three stars and would not hesitate to read the sequel. This book was written by Obert Skye.
